Yikes šŸ˜³ itā€™s been a long time since Iā€™ve written blog…

Hello There! šŸ‘‹šŸ¾

Itā€™s been so long since Iā€™ve actually published anything publicly on here! Iā€™m bad with keeping up with sharing publicly! But since the last two post a lot has happened!

Over the past 2 years Iā€™ve continue to evolve with all of lifeā€™s lessons on this journey! Iā€™ve learned even more and Iā€™m definitely not the same young lady from the previous post! Iā€™m very grateful for the opportunities to travel for meaningful purposes and getting to explore the world a bit on my own!!

Fast forwarding back to to this current point in time as I type this up, I want to share what Iā€™ve been up to! Iā€™ve stared a Youtube Channel where Iā€™ll be posting more about me and things I like to do! Iā€™m using this as a way to practice on my editing and videography skills. Also as a way for clients who want to work with me to see what Iā€™m about especially if they donā€™t already know me.

My channel is about Beauty, Travel and Plantā€™s . I may include other stuff about what I like to do, for example my next video will be about restating an old shelf for my plants! Iā€™ve developed a oasis in for plants throughout family connections and thatā€™s why I will like to share what Iā€™ve learned along the way!

If you took the time to read all this, I really appreciate you! Checkout my YouTube Channel the link is below.

I have been invite to the RAW Artist Showcase!

I am so excited because i’ve been invited to showcase my work at The RAW Artists showcasing! I have never showcased any of my work to the public beyond my instagram account!

Im very proud of myself for actually following through and exploring and further developing investing my craft! It was about a year and a half ago, I was on a student trip for my job and one of the students noticed me snapping shots of flowers on my camera phone. We were at the Disneyland theme park in Anaheim, California. The group of students had just finished presenting their service learning projects, that they created through a virtual exchange program. They were trying to make a difference in their community by creating a sustainable service project that pertained to reaching the United Nations 2030 Sustainable development goals for world.

As we explored the theme park and talked more about our lives and families and I showed her a few other pics she begin encouraging me to really invest in my craft. So after the trip concluded I was really inspired and thought about the way that capturing images made me feel and I knew that she had added more sparks to reignited the dwindling flame for a passion that had not been fully explored!

A month later I purchased my Canon Rebel camera and really begin creating!I really appreciate all the people that believed in my dreams and wanted to create with me of the past year and a half!

Fast forwarding back to this current time and reality, I notice the real irony of the conference her encouragement…The conference was themed “Dare to DREAM”!I took a lot away from that experience, learned a lot at the conference and so much from all the diffrent students that were apart of the trip. I’m so blessed to have had that experience with the students, watching them grow throughout the program and supporting them with their endeavors! The biggest lesson learned is that a DREAM is noting without action and some of your biggest supporters are the ones you never expect! Looking forward to this showcase on October 17th!

I have had this blog since 2016 and I never publicly post any of the stuff I actually do write on this blogging platform…I have so many ideas and other things that I want to talk about as well as sharing all of my travel experiences!

So i’ll continue to blog and give you a piece of The Real Courtney Katrice! Thanks for reading and if you have any ideas for blog post please comment and share!

Aloha Kakahiaka

Aloha Kakahiaka (Good Morning)!

So this is officially my first blog post and I’m so excited to be typing this post while taking in this incredibly amazing view on the third largest island in Hawaii, Oahu. Ā Today is June 29th, it is my second day here on the island and I’ve been up since 3:30 am. I watched the sun rise from the balcony of my hotel room on the Turtle Bay resort.

I’m so grateful and bless yet again to be able to take this trip on behalf of my job for our year-end review with our advisory board meetings. I can’t wait to visit the Shangri La, which is the center of Islamic art and culture here on the island. The Shangri-La is an Islamic-style mansion built by Ā Doris Duke in 1936-1938, it was inspired from her time in the Middle East shortly after her honeymoon. I can’t wait to see what it looks like in person… its seems amazing from the pictures and Ā I’m SURE Ā that in person it will be even better!

If you aer reading this post hope that you like it and continue to read my other “Future Post” and live life vicariously through my eyes. I hope that this blog will help me with self-reflection, better voicing my opinions and thoughts, to tell stories and about my experiences! I’m very much an introvert and I would like to use this platform to tell about my experiences and voice my position on stuff!

It’s after 7am Ā here and I’m starting to see people move around… I guess I should go get some breakfast and explore some more so that I can have some stuff to blog about during and after my trip!
